DOMAIN VENTURA is a family boutique winery. The owner and winemaker, David Ventura, is a descendant of a family of senior winemakers in France. He draws his love for wine and vineyards and all his professional knowledge from his ancestors in France.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with David last week in my office, where we discussed his future plans to bring Domaine Ventura to the United States. We talked candidly  about his wines and his wine-making process. I thoroughly enjoyed  tasting the Rubens 2007 that I thought was very well made and had great layers of fruit and hints of chocolate. When I asked David about getting a bottle of his Aaron 2007 -  since it's the same as my name -  he politely replied that it has been SOLD OUT for a very long time and that hopefully I may get a chance to acquire a bottle of the 2008.
David Ventura`s dream was to establish a family boutique winery in Israel that holds to the Franc/European standard. The dream was realized when he immigrated to Israel and planted the spectacular Ventura vineyard in Mateh Binyamin. In top quality lots on the Binyamin heights, 900 meters above sea level, facing to a breathtaking view of the cold water Jerusalem mountains, in stony soil,  the Ventura vineyards grow and bare purple-green, delicious quality fruit every year.
The nine species grapes grown in Ventura vineyard are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Shiraz, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay. "The ideal combination of soil components, altitude, ground surface and exceptional weather allows us to grow top quality grapes."

"We harvest the grape in a traditional way with great love and pedantry." The grapes are harvested by hand by David and the Ventura family and transported to the family winery. The selection and sorting is done in the winery while guarding the completeness of the grapes. The wine is transported to age in old French oak barrels that grant our wines their unique fruity flavor and aroma. Ventura winery manufactures top quality elegant wines, characterized  by great color and intense fruity fragrance that promise a deep rich experience and leaves a taste for more.
