About the Kosher Wine Society
The Kosher Wine Society is a membership-based organization comprised of members from all different age groups and backgrounds who love wine. We host public and private wine tastings, wine and food pairing dinners, wine workshops, fundraisers, corporate events and Kerem New York, our own monthly business networking event.
Wine has been a subject of passion throughout the centuries. In the United States wine events abound, bringing wine lovers together to savor quality vintages in each other’s company. Also throughout the centuries, wine has been at the center of Jewish life, essential at observances all year round. But no opportunity had existed for members of the Jewish community to partake in kosher wine-centered social events, to meet and savor fine wines for pure enjoyment or for true kosher-wine enthusiasts to learn about and share their passion.
The Kosher Wine Society was founded in December of 2005, with the intention of bringing people together to talk, learn and form new relationships, all in the name of kosher wine. We strive to produce the very best wine events in the New York tri-state area and beyond, where our members enjoy exciting opportunities to taste, compare, and discuss.
Meanwhile, Kosher wine is entering a new and vital life of its own. No longer confined to a few brands, wineries in Israel, the United States and worldwide are creating outstanding new kosher wines of every grape variety and blend.
At the Kosher Wine Society we have taken on the challenge of opening up a market for these wines. As the leading source for events, education, and information on kosher wine and spirits, we are often privileged to host representatives from famous vineyards and distilleries that send experts to guide us in our exploration of their premier wines and scotches.
Our events are a great way to learn more about the developments currently underway in the kosher wine and spirits industry and at the same time enjoy good company, make new friends and business acquaintances and support worthy causes.
